Event Details: This is a beginner-friendly, one-shot for Pulp Cthulhu, a Call of Cthulhu variant, taking place on Wednesday, May 17.

This event is part of our Dragons & Drafts series (learn more here) and is hosted at Brew Ridge Taps. This event begins at 5:30, but Travis, the Game Master, will be there at 5 if you’d like to arrive early! The game will run until at least 9pm. If you’ve never played or have loads of experience, everyone is welcome to play!*

*Dragons & Drafts benefits local bars/breweries by bringing in customers during off-peak hours and we encourage players to purchase food and/or beer. To this end, players must be 21+ to participate in Dragons & Drafts events.

About Pulp Cthulhu:

Stand up against the horrors of the Mythos in Pulp Cthulhu! It’s the no-holds-barred, full-on, high-octane version of Cthulhu where you play action hereos! You’ll have weird science, psychic powers, magic, and more on your side to fight the forces of evil.

Pulp Cthulhu (like classic Call of Cthulhu) is mechanically simple and easy to learn. No experience with Cthulhu or RPGs in general is required. I will provide pregenerated character sheets for all players, though if you wish to make your own Pulp Hero in advance, go for it!

About the Adventure:

On the 2nd of September 1935, the Labor Day hurricane hits the Florida Keys. Our hereos are relaxing after completing a successful assingment. No one expected the hurricane to be this bad, but now you’re stuck at the Grand Hotel. Something ancient lurks below the waves, and the cultists’ murderous tendacies aren’t helping. Astrology and knowledge of the stars will determine your fates, because tonight, the Stars Are Right.
