Event Details: This is a Delta Green adventure for 4-6 players. Delta Green is a d100 roll-under system, based off of Call of Cthulhu. You’ll play federal agents, scientists, special operations forces, and more in the modern day. Combat is faster and deadlier; mechanics are streamlined; and there’s more focus on the psychological toll that fighting the mythos inflicts on you and everyone you love. You’ll also have access to lots of guns, equipment, technical specialists, and the full force of a federal bureaucracy to help you!

Observer Effect

In Delta Green, you play as part of an illegal government conspiracy to fight the Cthulhu Mythos. This time, there’s been an incursion event at a high-tech physics lab, using advanced technology acquired from the Air Force to measure the true nature of reality. Worse, every agent awoke screaming at 10am this morning, with memories they can’t quite recall of a terrible bone-jarring sound. Your job, as always, is to confirm the presence of unnatural activity, eliminate its source, and ensure the public never finds out about the unnatural or the existence of Delta Green.

This will be a one-shot session at Heliotrope. Pregenerated characters will be provided, but if you would like to make your own agent in advance, please contact Travis D. on Discord and he’ll help you. There is a full Delta Green book in the store’s RPG section, or you can check out the Need to Know PDF. (The site for that link may not work, if not, there is a PDF on Drive Thru RPG, though an account with them will be needed. Again, pregenereated characters are available.)

This event runs from 5pm to 9pm on Wednesday, October 16th. The event takes place in the back garden behind Heliotrope, through the alley (rain or shine, the area is covered). The event may run past 9pm if all agree, however please make sure you close your tab and turn in your dishes/glasses prior to 9pm.

*Dragons & Drafts benefits local bars/breweries by bringing in customers during off-peak hours and we encourage players to purchase food and/or beer. To this end, players must be 21+ to participate in Dragons & Drafts events.

We strive to cook and brew with as many local ingredients as possible, from produce grown within a few miles of the brewery, to barley harvested and malted here in Virginia. Our walls are hung with rotating local artwork, not televisions, and our taproom is set with community tables intended to promote conversation with friends, new and old, over a shared meal or a round of beers.
