Dragons & Drafts

This is a one-shot adventure for Call of Cthulhu, which means the adventure will begin and end in the same session.

Event Details: This is a Call of Cthulhu adventure for 2-5 players. Characters will be provided. Call of Cthulhu is mechanically simple and easy to learn. If you’ve never played before, the rules will be taught at the table, so just bring some dice and a pencil!

Jackknife, by Stygian Fox

Making the long haul across the New Mexico desert with a load of lumber, Jackknife Samson decides to pick up some desperate-looking hitchhikers, but he gets more trouble than he bargained for when they find themselves being hunted by a cult of psychotic snake worshipers from hell.

This is a “grindhouse” scenario, so the focus is cinematic survival gameplay, not investigation. Like grindhouse movies, expect violence and gore, with added Lovecraftian cosmic horror.

This event runs from 4pm to 8pm on Wednesday September 13th. The event takes place in the back garden behind Heliotrope, through the alley (rain or shine, the area is covered). The event may run past 8pm if all agree, however please make sure you close your tab and turn in your dishes/glasses prior to 8pm.

*Dragons & Drafts benefits local bars/breweries by bringing in customers during off-peak hours and we encourage players to purchase food and/or beer. To this end, players must be 21+ to participate in Dragons & Drafts events.

We strive to cook and brew with as many local ingredients as possible, from produce grown within a few miles of the brewery, to barley harvested and malted here in Virginia. Our walls are hung with rotating local artwork, not televisions, and our taproom is set with community tables intended to promote conversation with friends, new and old, over a shared meal or a round of beers.
