Storms over Velen

Nestled on a jungle peninsula, the port of Velen uses it’s shipping as the main avenue in and out of town. The road through the humid jungle has long since been overgrown with foliage since the waterways stay blessed by the priests of Umberlee, evil goddess of seas and storms.

With piracy on the rise and storms moving in, Duke Mortain has reached out to his friend in Baldur’s Gate for help. Being in her employ, she’s sent you to the port town to investigate and help her friend out of this tempestuous situation. Can you weather the storm or will you find yourself drowned in the depths of treachery?

Storms over Velen is set in D&D 5e setting and meant for characters of 5th level.

This event runs from 5pm to 9pm on Monday, September 30th. The event takes place in Heliotrope’s outdoor garden seating. We ask that you please make sure you close your tab and turn in your dishes/glasses prior to 8pm when they close, but you may remain and play till 9pm or everyone is finished.

*Dragons & Drafts benefits local bars/breweries by bringing in customers during off-peak hours and we encourage players to purchase food and/or beer. To this end, players must be 21+ to participate in Dragons & Drafts events.

About Heliotrope:

We strive to cook and brew with as many local ingredients as possible, from produce grown within a few miles of the brewery, to barley harvested and malted here in Virginia. Our walls are hung with rotating local artwork, not televisions, and our taproom is set with community tables intended to promote conversation with friends, new and old, over a shared meal or a round of beers.
