A Magic Celebration Event!

Do you want to learn to play Magic: the Gathering? Do you have a friend you’d like to introduce to the game? Do you love Lord of the Rings? Do you want to get exclusive promos for playing Magic? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you won’t want to miss this Magic Celebration Event.

We will be playing with The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth™ Jumpstart, which is a special type of booster pack that creates a playable 40-card deck, complete with lands, with just two packs. These packs will contain cards from the new LOTR/Magic crossover set. The cost of the event is $15 and covers the Jumpstart packs, which are yours to keep.

This is a casual event aimed mainly at new/beginner players, so if you are an experienced player, please come with the mindset of helping others to learn this great trading card game. You don’t need to bring anything from home and you do not need to build your own deck, shuffling the two packs together does that for you!

Every participant in this event will receive a set of five limited-edition D6 dice in a bag with an Elven Planeswalker symbol. Please make sure you are registered with a Wizards Companion account to receive these dice! The event code is VRV2E6Z.

When you bring a friend to this event, both of you will receive a foil Thought Vessel promo card and a Welcome Booster pack.

As a Premium Wizards Play Network store, we will also have a photo station set up so you can take a quick picture and turn it into a 1/1 Human token card! Lord of the Rings costumes are encouraged, and the player with the best costume will receive the additional two sets of dice to complete their collection.
