Learn to Draft Magic: the Gathering!

Join us for a booster draft geared completely toward teaching you how to be a draft master! During this draft, Zander (shop owner) will coach players through their picks. He will go through the tips and tricks of drafting and then as packs are opened and passed, he will offer advice while explaining the reasoning behind his recommendations.

We will be playing with Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty draft booster packs, which is generally an easier set to draft due to it’s clear archetypes. Players will receive three packs, opening one, picking a card, and passing the remainder to the left. This is repeated until all cards have been drafted. Then everyone opens their second pack, this time passing to the right. The last pack is passed to the left again. All cards you draft are yours to take home.

After drafting, players will then build a 40-card deck with Zander providing guidance during the deckbuilding process. Basic lands are provided by the shop. We will pair the first round randomly and then players will be re-paired as matches are completed.

This is a casual event aimed mainly at new/beginner players, so if you are an experienced player, please come with the mindset of helping others to learn this great trading card game. You don’t need to bring anything from home!
