This fall, return to the land of fairy tales, knights, and witches in Wilds of Eldraine. A plane cloaked in mystery and fantasy, Eldraine is a fairy tale–inspired plane that relishes in the whimsy of a good tale, but with a special Magic twist. This time, we’re venturing beyond the scenic castles and into the wilds, a land filled with faeries, giants, and more.

Format: Each player receives three Wilds of Eldraine draft booster packs. Every player will open one pack to start, pick one card, and pass the remainder to the left. This pick-and-pass repeats until there are no cards left. Players then open their second pack, pick a card, and pass to their right, etc. The last pack is passed to the left again.

After all cards have been drafted, the players will build a minimum 40-card deck with their draft pool and basic lands provided by Just Games. Your deck composition may be changed between games and matches and does not need to be “reset” to its original list at the start of each match.

Magic: the Gathering is intended for ages 13+ due to complexity, but if you are younger, know the rules well, and would like to participate, please arrive 30 minutes early so the shopkeepers can assess your readiness for the tournament. This only needs to be done once, so if you’ve played here before, please disregard.

Make sure you are registered with a Wizards Companion account prior to the draft! The event code is NVDEWRM.

Drafts are a great way to play Magic on an even playing field because you don’t bring any cards from home. It’s also a great way to grow your collection since you keep all the cards you draft.

Event Policies: Advanced registration is highly encouraged to attend this event as it is limited to 16 people. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early because the tournament will begin promptly at the listed start time and we like to go over set specific mechanics beforehand. Magic: the Gathering is recommended for ages 13+ but younger players who know the rules of the game and can play in a timely fashion are welcome to attend.

Prize Support: All participants will receive a promo pack with the winner receiving a foil promo pack. Additionally, a 3-0 record earns two booster packs and a 2-1 record earns one booster pack. Additionally, each participant receives one Tail Swipe, 2x Transcendent Message to the top 8, and 2x Moonshaker Cavalry for the winner. One of each top 8 and winner promo has our store name stamped in the bottom left of the image (similar to a prerelease date stamp).
